Hey Drew! It’s been a while since we last talked! What’s new?
Let’s see…I’m in Las Vegas right now, sitting at a buffet and stuffing my face! I’m here with my friend Brandon actually! We did an unveiling of the wax figures of the Chipmunks in Madame Tussaud’s last night because I recorded a song with Allan and the Chipmunks for their album, which came out a few days ago. I also recently did a movie called The Shortcut which Adam Sandler produced, which is coming out some time in the New Year. And I’ve been working on an album!

Wow you sound busy!
Yeah but I’m looking forward to Christmas to go see my family and just relax!

So what’s The Shortcut about?
It’s about two brothers who move to a new town and their adventures there. It’s a horror movie so be prepared. Even though Adam Sandler produced it, it’s not funny at all!

Do you usually watch scary movies?
I do! I like them!

Doesn’t it ruin them for you, since being on the set of you; you see how everything is done?
Well it ruined this one…it won’t be scary to me! But this movie is more suspense than horror.

This movie must have been completely different from your other movie which came out recently, Another Cinderella Story…
Yeah they were very different! I mean Another Cinderella Story was really difficult because we danced every day and it was complicated. But in this movie, it was more like running through the woods every day…it was a nice change though, jumping from something that’s light-hearted to this…I like switching it up! The next thing I do will probably be different from the other two!

You danced a lot in Another Cinderella Story. Are you a good dancer?
I’m decent. I have been dancing before I started acting, so it’s like riding a bike. If you start early, you’ll get good. I wasn’t flexible though.

Was it hard work learning all the moves?
Very hard work! We worked 6 hours a day for 2 weeks straight!

Did you have any embarrassing moments on set?
I don’t know how to drive a stick shift car, so one day I had to drive one for a scene and I kept stopping and starting. Selena was just sitting and laughing at me the whole time!

You mentioned you’re working on a new album. When will that be coming out?
I don’t have an exact date yet but sometime in the early new year.

Will it be like previous songs you’ve done or has your style changed at all?
Honestly, it changes every day. I get inspired by a lot of the bands from the 80’s. Keeping it soulful, but with guitars etc. something like a solo version of Maroon 5. Not trying to copy them or anything, but they inspire me.

Are you planning a tour after your CD release??
Most definitely!

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve had in your mouth? I’m a human vacuum cleaner! I like everything!

What’s your secret addiction?
I check my emails way too often! I’m also addicted to running lately…

What was your nickname at school?
Sexy dork…it sounds so conceited but it honestly was! I was in all the school plays and I was kind of a dork…I was also one of the only straight guys in my drama class so maybe that’s why…

What irrationally annoys you?
I hate it when people honk their horns in LA. Traffic in general irritates me! But what really irks me is people who are really impatient because if you have patience, you’ll eventually achieve what you want!

What’s the most unusual talent or skill that you have?
I’m a really boring and normal guy…honestly! Tap dancing I guess though it’s not unusual any more…I can balance a spoon on my nose…Ermm…I can talk to birds!!! I’m a specialist! We have interesting conversations!

What’s your most treasured possession?
Some guitars back at my house that I will not part with. I wrote most of my songs on them. I got nominated for an Emmy and even though I didn’t win, they gave me a plaque so that’s pretty special to me. And my shoes…I’m a male version of Sex and the City! I love shoes…

What would be the perfect present for you?
I love to travel so I guess a night at a hotel somewhere…or plane tickets? Or some way to go to a new place that I’ve never been to!

What’s the weirdest rumour you’ve heard about yourself?
That me and Selena Gomez are dating…this is NOT true! It’s illegal and slightly disgusting! No offence to Selena! We had a blast filming! We’re actors, we did our job…but that’s all!
