Myspace Band of the Week: dublinStu
Sound is…
Members are… Like two brothers seperated at birth, Justin and Will have been going to school together since kindergarten. They didn't seriously pick up their current instruments of choice until 6th grade, when they played together in Jazz Band. In 8th grade, they began to get more serious in their music, writing songs with a buddy of theirs near the end of 9th grade year. When their friend and Will decided to go to seperate boarding schools, it split the group up. "Fortunately, Justin and [Will] continued writing [their] own stuff, and tried to make it together." They formed dublinStu in 2006, and "Since then, it has been hard to balance not being close to each other, since [Will] still has another 2 years at boarding school. But we managed to make it work." The folk type music uses a clever mix of keyboards, mandolin, and guitar, and the boys do all of their own mixing, emailing each other the music. They have their own youtube, as well, and the link can be found on their myspace.
