Myspace Band of the Week: Backseat Goodbye
www.myspace.com/backseatgoodbye

Sound is…
Acoustic/Folk

Members are…
Chad sugg, vocals, guitar, bass, piano, drums

Chad Sugg is a guy 21 years of age, but his lyrics show wisdom beyond his years. Sugg's sunny guitar, bass, piano, drums, and any other sort of musical instrument you may hear in his songs truly bring a new level to the acoustic genre. Some of Sugg's all time favorite bands are The Rocket Summer, Bright Eyes, and The Format. Chad Sugg writes all of his own lyrics which vary from sultry to exhilarating. Sugg started out recording his songs using his inner laptop microphone, but has now played with Hellogoodbye, Third Eye Blind, The Format, and more. With over 50,000 Myspace friends, we all know this artist is definitely going somewhere big. His new album, Dressed Up Like Dreams, came out this April (I for one, most definitely pre ordered it). Backseat Goodbye's lyrics are just flat out catchy from-

If I'm The Sound Of Music you're The Science of Sleep.
'Cause I'm obviously, and you're obviously.
Too young to care, too bold to love.
Too naive to notice that sometimes all you need is some love.

and to-

Supercalifragalisticexpialadocious.
I took all of my memories and threw them in the ocean.
Just like that they drowned on impact.
In a flurry of nightmares dressed up like dreams.

According to Chad, he makes music because it is not only what he loves, but also what keeps him alive. When you check out Backseat Goodbye, you will not be disappointed. In fact, you might just have a new found addiction... P.s Backseat Goodbye has some nifty band paraphernalia (check out a link to his online store on his Myspace)
