The Carter Twins

The Carter Twins

There are two new artists hitting the charts, and they just so happen to be brothers. Zach and Josh Carter are known to their wide fan base as the Carter Twins, a new country group. They were born on March 1st, 1990, and are now nineteen years old. The two grew up in Ohio surrounded by music. When they were fifteen, they moved to South Carolina and landed their first live gig.

In 2008, Zach and Josh were able to meet with an MTV executive who pointed them towards CMT. They finished their senior year in high school and moved to Nashville so they could continue to pursue their dreams.

The boys’ first single was “Heart Like Memphis,” and hit the charts to bring the boys even more fans. The song has been climbing the charts and has been showing off the boys’ talents since it hit radio stations.

The boys, being twins, are a lot alike, but differ in many ways. Zach, for instance, is mostly seen playing the keyboard, like in the boys’ new video for their song, “So What.” Josh is constantly playing the guitar and learned when he was thirteen.

Many talented musicians, including Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts, influence the Carter Twins. They have proven with just a few songs, that they have talent and they are here to stay. A question often asked is whether the Carter Twins are related to Nick and Aaron Carter, the former being a part of the boy-band, Backstreet Boys, and the latter being a solo singer. The answer to this question is no, they are no related to the other Carter brothers.

With their good looks and awesome vocal and instrumental talents, Josh and Zach have also been compared to one of the biggest pop groups. They have been called the “country version of the Jonas Brothers.”

The boys each have their own, personal Twitter, as well as one for their group. They try to interact with their fans as much as they can. They also encourage their fans to pursue their dreams. Look for their debut album later in 2009.
